This video contains traditional Japanese dance and music from Noh and Kabuki as well as some modern pieces played on traditional Japanese instruments. Instruments include: shamisen, koto, flutes and percussion. This is a student performance with some special guests and professional musicians helping out.

Autumn comes late in Nara: end of November and early December. I took my bike and camped in the old palace grounds. The nights were cold, well below zero centigrade.

Notes

This is a ride I do almost every week and all year round. It foilows Tama gawa from near Nishi Chofu station then switches over to Aki kawa and usually ends near Musashi-Itsukaichi station.

End of August, 2014, we moved from the small apartment beside No Gawa (river) to a lovely large house 300m away. Nolonger the sounds of bull frogs filling the night. But the interior beauty more than compensates.
